It was our first train trip and we spent the time talking and checking out each others ipod apps.

| Hi Baby Girl |
Anyway, we started walking the Magnificent Mile the minute we dropped our bags at the hotel.
I never expected to have so much fun. I knew we'd have a great time but we had such a great time that we've already decided to go back.
We went on a 3 hour segway tour of the Museum District and Millenium Park.
What a riot! If you ever get a chance you have to ride a segway.

One of the coolest attractions in Millenium Park is "The Bean"
Aptly named yes?
The Bean isn't it's official name but it should be.
It looks like a giant drop of liquid mercury doesn't it?

See that purse?
There's a Coach store on Michigan Ave and my daughter fell in love with that purse. She kept going back to that damn store just to "visit" the purse. It got to the point where the sales lady kept it under the counter and would pull it out as soon as she saw us walk in the door. We went back to that store over 5 times just so she could hold it and pet it and call it George.
I'm not going to tell you how much it cost except to say you could probably find a nice used car for the same price.
And like any other good mom would do, I talked her into buying it. Actually that's not completely true. I really didn't have to talk her into it. She just needed the reassurance that it was OK to spend that kind of money on herself.
Hell, she's single, has a terrific job and no bills other than rent! Could there be a better time?
So she bought it and we had to go right back to the room to change purses. And the whole time we were giggling about how we couldn't believe she spent that much money on a purse. A purse! And how the lady at the Coach store asked us if we were thirsty and did we want some bottled water? Water? How about some champagne?
Well that just sent us into another fit of giggles.
God I love my daughter
But I digress.
This is the view from The Ledge at Skydeck
Over 100 floors up.
Awesome view.
One last pic.
Navy Pier
And there's that purse again.
It's was a great trip. Both of us stepped way our of our comfort zones.
We even decided to get matching tatoos but the shop was closing.
Oh well, there's always next time.

Oh what a fun trip! I love the bean! I totally would have bought that purse too. And would have made me giggle too. Love the color. She will remember that forever.
